Welcome to the September project of the month! This month is all about hot pads so today I will show you how to sew a basic hot pad with any panel.

Why hot pads you may ask? Great question!

In honor of our 10th anniversary, Stitchology is hosting a food drive for The Storehouse New Mexico. It works in 2 parts!

Part 1. Canned and non-perishable donations--we will have a box outside the store that you can drop off any canned or non-perishable food into and we will get that to The Storehouse. I understand they love it when they get peanut butter and cereal donated!

Part 2. Hot Pad Challenge!--I am asking you to make and donate hot pads. They will be due October 20th, and at the end of the month, we will ask you, our amazing customers, to vote on your favorites. Winners will be awarded prizes which will include Stitchology Gift Certificates and gift baskets. The hot pads will then be sold at our Anniversary party and all the proceeds will be donated to The Storehouse.

Picking Fabric

You will want to use all natural fibers like 100% quilting cottons so the hot pads don't melt!
