Lined Drawstring Bag
Skill Level: Beginner-Must be comfortable using a sewing machine.
Easy drawstring bag featuring eight sizes and instructions to make more custom sizes. sizes range from 4 to 26 inches tall. The largest size makes a great travel laundry bag. A handout will be provided for a wine tote bag. These make wonderful reusable gift bags!
Please have your materials before class so we can start right away!
Supplies are NOT included in the class fee and can be purchased at Stitchology. You will need to come to class prepared with all supplies.
Materials List (for students):
- Pattern: Lined Drawstring Bag by Jeni Baker
- Fabric: See pattern for fabric requirements based on the size you wish to make.
- Thread to coordinate with fabric
- Safety pin to thread drawstring through bag
Recommended Supplies
- 80/12 or 90/14 sewing machine needle
- Sewing machine in good working order
- Regular machine foot
- Rotary cutter
- Scissors
- Seam ripper
- Pins & clips
- Marking pens
- Other basic sewing supplies
CANCELLATION and REFUND POLICY:
Classes fill up quickly so it is essential to PRE-REGISTER. If a cancellation is received at least SEVEN DAYS before the first day of class, a refund will be issued for the amount minus a 20% administration fee. Cancellations received fewer than SEVEN DAYS in advance will not be refunded for any reason, including illness. If a class is canceled by Stitchology, you will receive a full refund.
Some classes do require you to come to class with your project precut or that you work on "homework" between class sessions. We use the most size inclusive patterns we can. It is your responsibility to ensure the pattern will fit. If you do not fall within the size parameters for the pattern you will need to make arrangements with us to have your pattern altered before the day of class. Please understand, if you are not prepared we cannot guarantee you will be able to attend/or finish the class. If the teacher is unable to accommodate you, you will not be refunded the class fee. If you are allowed to attend class, you will not receive any additional instruction time. If you need help prepping for the class or finishing you may arrange for help prior to or after the class for an additional fee.
