Quilting 102
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner- Must be comfortable using a sewing machine and have some quilting experience. Must be 18+ to attend this class.
Take your quilting to the next level and learn basic applique. In this class you will reinforce good piecing skills and discuss basic quilting while making a Wondergarden Table Runner. See below for supplies and homework.

3 Fat Quarters for Background
Block 1 Fabrics
- Flower 9"x13"
- Top of Flower 7"x10"
- Leaves 14"x15"
Block 2 Fabrics
- Flowers 4"x14"
- Leaves 10"x14"
Block 3 Fabrics
- Flower 11"x13"
- Centers 8"x6"
- Leaves 8"x15"
Backing 1 yard
Binding 1/4 yard
Batting 1/2 yard
Paper Fusible (such as Heat n Bond) 2 yards
Wondergarden Best Buds pattern by Tamara Kate
Thread to match or contrast with flowers, leaves, and quilting
Needle: Topstitch 90/14
Homework: Please come to class with these things prepared
Cut 3: 17"x17" squares from the background and backing fabrics
Cut 3: 17"x17" squares from the batting
Cut 1: 1.5" strip from binding fabric
Cut 3: 2.5" strips from binding fabric
Trace patterns from template sheets onto the paper fusible (smooth side) for blocks 1, 2, and 3. Label each pattern with the number and letter that is on the template.
CANCELLATION and REFUND POLICY:
Classes fill up quickly so it is essential to PRE-REGISTER. If a cancellation is received at least SEVEN DAYS before the first day of class, a refund will be issued for the amount minus a 20% administration fee. Cancellations received fewer than SEVEN DAYS in advance will not be refunded for any reason, including illness. If a class is canceled by Stitchology, you will receive a full refund. If you do not show up for class, or are more than 15 minutes late for any reason, including illness, you will not be refunded or credited any part of the fee.
Some classes do require you to come to class with your project precut or that you work on "homework" between class sessions. We use the most size inclusive patterns we can. It is your responsibility to ensure the pattern will fit. If you do not fall within the size parameters for the pattern you will need to make arrangements with us to have your pattern altered before the day of class. Please understand, if you are not prepared we cannot guarantee you will be able to attend/or finish the class. If the teacher is unable to accommodate you, you will not be refunded the class fee. If you are allowed to attend class, you will not receive any additional instruction time. If you need help prepping for the class or finishing you may arrange for help prior to or after the class for an additional fee.
