Stitch 101
Skill Level: Newbie- No prior experience necessary. Must be 18 to attend this class.
Come learn the basics of sewing by machine! By the end of the class you will be able to thread a machine and sew fundamental stitches. You can bring your own machine or borrow one of ours!
If you are bringing your own machine, be sure to bring your power cord, foot control, presser foot and an empty bobbin. You will not need any additional supplies.
We offer Stitch 101 at least once a month. If the class shows as “out of stock” that is because all the classes are full. You may call us at 505-242-3288 to be added to the wait list. Being added to the wait list is NOT a guarantee a spot will become available.
Classes are scheduled quarterly, and the new class schedule is released around the middle to the end of the last month of the current quarter. We can not release any future class dates, add you to a waitlist or let you register prior to the release of the new class schedule.
Our quarters are:
Q1-Jan-March (Q2 class schedule released middle to end of March)
Q2-April-June (Q3 class schedule released middle to end of June)
Q3-July-September (Q4 class schedule released middle to end of September)
Q4-October-December (Q1 of the next year class schedule released middle to end of December)
CANCELLATION and REFUND POLICY:
Classes fill up quickly so it is essential to PRE-REGISTER. If a cancellation is received at least SEVEN DAYS before the first day of class, a refund will be issued for the amount minus a 20% administration fee. Cancellations received fewer than SEVEN DAYS in advance will not be refunded for any reason, including illness. If a class is canceled by Stitchology, you will receive a full refund. If you do not show up for class for any reason, including illness, you will not be refunded or credited any part of the fee.
Some classes do require you to come to class with your project precut or that you work on "homework" between class sessions. We use the most size inclusive patterns we can. It is your responsibility to ensure the pattern will fit. If you do not fall within the size parameters for the pattern you will need to make arrangements with us to have your pattern altered before the day of class. Please understand, if you are not prepared we cannot guarantee you will be able to attend/or finish the class. If the teacher is unable to accommodate you, you will not be refunded the class fee. If you are allowed to attend class, you will not receive any additional instruction time. If you need help prepping for the class or finishing you may arrange for help prior to or after the class for an additional fee.
If your class requires any supplies they can be purchased at Stitchology and you will receive a 10% discount. **In store only**
